Press Reviews

The Usborne Beginners and Young Readers series are increasingly being recognized and celebrated as having both the production values, content, and visual and commercial appeal demanded by the home market, and also the clear structure supporting children's reading development that is desired by schools. In my opinion, the Usborne Beginners and Young Readers series are by far the most appealing and comprehensive reading development supports available, now offering a vast range of subjects.

The Bookseller

Living in Space by Katie Daynes is part of the Usborne Beginners series and is supported by an excellent website. It is full of space facts, and provides everything a young reader requires to become an intrepid space explorer. It is full, too, of diagrams and photographs, which give visual clues to an exciting and challenging text. Its 32 pages are crammed with information – but never too much on each page, and it is all easily accessible under clear, child-friendly headings such as "Keeping Clean" and "A Day in Space". There is also a clearly laid out glossary, contents and index too. This is a superbly written and well designed book.
