Another worthy charity receives Usborne Books

23rd May 2018

One of the most important influences for success in life is the availability of books in the hands of children from birth on. This spring, we are making donations across the country to ensure all children have access to Usborne Books.

This was my second time earning the opportunity to donate a wonderful box full of Usborne Books to a local organization. Just like the first time, it was an amazing and heartwarming experience!

When I found out I would be receiving a donation box I once again asked my community to make suggestions on where they should be donated. I received a long list and it was too hard to choose! So, my daughter and I put all the suggestions into a bowl and we drew one lucky organization.

Last week, my children and I took our box to the Margaret Barbour Collegiate Institute Life Skills Class. They were beyond excited to receive these books which will help local high school students with research projects, improve their reading skills and encourage a love of reading! Mrs. Angelika Bate, the Life Skills teacher, explained they have their highest enrollment in the Life Skills class next year and these books will benefit the students greatly!

I would like to thank everyone who supports my little book business and everyone at Usborne for this wonderful opportunity! You are all helping me spread a love of books and reading around my community!
